About the project

Selected by E-J Electric, Gilston played a major role in the creation of the new Yankee Stadium with a groundbreaking Cisco StadiumVision IPTV deployment as part of a massive technology integration project. Gilston was also involved in installing and commissioning an IPTV head-end where local DTV off-air, satellite and HD game feeds are all received and encoded to IP stream for distribution to more than 1,000 Cisco-networked televisions placed throughout the stadium.

In addition, Gilston installed all video displays associated with the system (placed in locations such as clubs, public areas and concession stands), including a Cisco 4305G Digital Media Player (DMP) at each display. The pièce de résistance was Gilston’s fit-out of a broadcast-quality control room to ensure that 53,000 fans on site and millions watching around the world wouldn’t miss a moment.
