More than 250,000 pedestrians access the World Trade Center Transportation Hub each day in the PATH Station powered by Gilston Electric. The station is the primary access point to the NJ PATH trains and 11 of New York City’s subway lines and Gilston provided corrosion control systems, traction power systems and signal work for the project.
Gilston’s electrical strategy included an intricate blue light system, campus-wide grounding system, and a fire suppression and track mist system. Track signal accuracy and precise traction power ensured efficiency while paralleling switchgear powered the entire World Trade Center site.
