About the project

In its effort to exceed accommodations for more than 10 million annual guests, Resorts World Casino and Hotels, Genting New York, and Plaza Construction hired Gilston Electric to team up for the casino’s $200 million expansion. The high-end hospitality site demanded a best-in-class electrical system for a new ground-up nine-story, 400-room hotel, casino floors, retail shops, and back-of-house areas.

The project was a fast track 18-month build with unprecedented safety precautions in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, across 64 acres, and nearly 500,000 square feet. Gilston fit out the site with a reliable and economically responsible use of electrical power, as well as an additional 30,000 square feet of casino space.
