About the project

Gilston Electric was the trusted partner for Madison Square Garden’s first major electrical upgrade and renovation project in a decade. As the oldest major sporting arena in New York City is also the most famous in the world, the electrical rehabilitation required careful navigation between original construction work and high-tech electrical systems to ensure sound and broadcast worthy of the Garden’s fame.

Working with more than 2 million feet of cable in a 20,000-seat venue, Gilston wired and installed new high-definition broadcasting systems for the Garden’s sporting events and concerts on a fast-track schedule to avoid disrupting the season.

ENSURING FANS NEVER MISS A MOMENT AT THE WORLD’S MOST FAMOUS ARENA

  • Fast-track electrical upgrades for 4 million visitors across 400 events per year.
  • High-definition broadcasting systems.

  • 15 racks of high-definition equipment.
