Gilston was contracted by the New York City Department of Design & Construction for this internationally recognized new ground-up museum building in part of the first phase to expand and eventually replace the existing Bronx Museum of the Arts facility.
Gilston provided a full electrical package with new electrical service, power distribution, interior and exterior lighting, GRAFIK eye lighting control system, and fire alarm systems. In addition, Gilston installed security devices including photo electric beams, motion sensors, detectors and alarms for high security art amid more than 100,000 visitors each year.
